Jatrabari killings case: ICT asks jail authorities to produce four accused on August 3
The International Crimes Tribunal-2 (ICT-2) in Bangladesh ordered jail authorities to produce four accused individuals before the court on August 3, 2026, in connection with the killing of 17 people in Jatrabari during the July 2024 uprising. The four accused are former Awami League MP Kazi Monirul Islam Monu, former Jatrabari Police Station OC Abul Hasan, former Ward-63 councillor Shafiqul Islam Khan, and Awami League general secretary Harunur Rashid Munna, all currently held in custody on separate charges. The case relates to crimes against humanity allegedly committed on July 19–20, 2024, with one accused, Abul Hasan, already facing a separate tribunal trial for the shooting death of a Class 12 student during the same period.
